Just got recorded msg from GOP re early voting
I just got a recorded message from the local GOP guy telling me that early voting starts tomorrow, every vote counts, and be sure and get there early! He also says if I need to know where to go to early vote, to log onto www.gop.org (I think that's the website). It also says not to stop "at the top" of the ballot, but to be sure to go through the whole ballot, since Republicans are running for many other offices, as well!

Hey....how come the Dem. Party isn't doing calls like that?

I'm in Colorado and I've gotten at LEAST 5 messages in the last 2 weeks about early voting or absentee voting.

4. It's probably one of those auto-dial things that telemarketers use.
But it's easy to get phone numbers of registered voters, I'd imagine, for political parties. They've probably got a list of registered voter names and ph. nos. and addresses.

I have also sent e-mails to my congressmen before, where I've provided my ph. #, probably.

Lots of ways.

5. In the last New York Governor's race
I was eyeing a third party candidate UNTIL ... his freaking staff called me NON-STOP. They were calling twice per night for two weeks. It really, really pissed me off. I didn't vote for him it made me so mad.

Phone calls are good, but you have to be very careful not to annoy the hell out of the people you're trying to court.

Waiting for my VBM, I may just go to my county elections office and vote before it even arrives.

Edit: that way I can avoid the relentless calling I just heard today at the district office we will be making!

They were saying to expect 3-4 messages or more before the election!

8. I got two calls about early voting today.
One was a recording and I don't know who it was from. The other was from my state rep's campaign office. I'm going to early voting Saturday and holding up a sign for two hours! :D
