Bush's Debate Performance is Driving Republicans to Kerry - emediawire
<snip>

Phyllis Wilcox has been a Republican since the 1960s, and is currently a professor at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque. She told RepublicansForKerry04.org “Whether it's the war on terrorism, or better education, or protecting the environment, or medical assistance, or Social Security, the Bush administration has shown extreme incompetence, cronyism and favoritism toward their friends, and a thirst for absolute power. One can call their actions mistakes, but I believe that they are attacking the fundamental values that this country is built on. The nation’s future is dependent on this election -- on every vote we cast." The last debate affected Phyllis Wilcox as it did James Scott, Dr. Barry Taylor, Matt Meltzer, and other steadfast Republicans; they are now strong supporters of Kerry. Says Wilcox: “Kerry will be a great President and I want him to be my next President.”

7. True... If The Votes Are Accurately Cast And Tabulated This Time, We...
will know definitively, just how much of the voting public consists of greedy leeches, power hungry pigs, religiously insane inquisitors, and empty-headed morans. As opposed to the rest of us, who feel AND THINK!!!

Here's to hoping we're the majority, LOL!!!

6. It doesn't matter. None of this matters.
In a fixed election all the republicans in the USA could vote kerry but we'd still lose. That is the issue here.

9. "Fixed" is a Continuum - Not an either/or
The "fixing" of an election falls into degrees on a continuum of fraud.

It is not accurate to say, "either the election is totally fixed or it is totally fair".

It is a confirmed matter of fact that the GOP has engaged in activities that constitute fraud and attempts to fix the election. There is little doubt that there are many more examples of these types of activities going on.

These illegal, fraudulent activities will skew the results toward Bush, and if the election is razor close as it was in 2000, the Repug fraud could swing it to Bush. But if Kerry has even a slight lead, these activities may fall short of "fixing" the election. If Kerry has a massive lead, as many suspect, they will be completely ineffectual.

Let's just focus on GOTV because every vote cast for Kerry makes it one vote harder for the GOP to steal the election.

10. Sorry, I disagree.
Normally, in past elections, this might be the case, but nothing is stopping Bush and the GOP from either postponing the election if they think he will lose or completely rejecting it if he does lose because 'it was frauded against us'

14. Oh yes there is
What's he going to do, call out the National Guard to help him violate the Constitution they've sworn to defend? You know, the Guard that just adores him for sending them off to die, understaffed and underequipped, in a war built upon lies, and then not letting them go home even when their enlistments are up?

Yes, there are still some idiots running around in uniforms begging to be cannonfodder for Halliburton. But Iraq cured a whole lot of soldiers of even the slightest inclination towards idiocy. The Pretender-in-chief can still issue lawful orders and get obedience, but if he tried to issue a clearly unlawful order, all bets are off.
