Proof Kerry is in a lot better shape than Gore was at this point in 2000
Kerry is contesting or competitive in number of red states - New Hampshire, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado and maybe Arkansas - that Gore wrote off in order to concentrate on Florida. Kerry is also targeting Florida, of course, but he has a shot at a bigger pool of EVs than Gore did.

Bush is being forced to defend more states than he had to in 2000. Think about it.

2. It is even better than that
we are up against an incumbant, "war president" who has the media machine on their side

No, when you factor in the newly registered Democratic voters, and the 18-24 year olds, who mostly use cell phones they should be worried

I believe this is part of their dirty tricks to try and demoralize us into NOT voting, but it won't work

That stupid gallop poll on most likely voters had bush up 8 points, but with registered voters up 3 points There likely voter reason was because the repugs were more likely to turn out than the Democrats, WRONG ASSUMPTION

3. Two other advantages:
1. The Kerry/Edwards campaign is far more focused than Gore ever was. Of course it helps that they are running against shrub with a dismal record, rather than the phony "compassionate conservative" of 2000. It also helps that Kerry has welcomed help from the Clinton camp.

2. VP Candidate Edwards and wife Elizabeth vs. a totally ineffective Lieberman and his wife. Big advantage to Kerry/Edwards.

4. excellent point
Plus the fact that Bush won't get as much of the military vote, the Muslim vote, virtually no Gore voters will switch and many Nader (2000) voters will vote Kerry.

11. In a way, Kerry is in better shape BECAUSUE of 2000. Never forget
the electoral thievery. It's a great motivator.
