Critique my latest LTTE (warning, mentions Mary Cheney)
It seems that VP Dick Cheney and his wife are outraged that Senator Kerry brought up the name of Mary Cheney, his openly gay daughter's name, in a positive way in the third presidential debate. The So-Called Liberal Media has joined in the chorus of mock outrage.

However, the Vice President and his wife were strangely silent when Republican senate candidate Alan Keyes recently called Mary Cheney a "selfish hedonist." And, I do not recall a similar outrage by the Cheneys when Republican activists Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell blamed gays for the terror attacks on 9/11, or when another Republican activist named Fred Phelps started up a website called www.godhatesfags.com.

So, my question to the Cheneys would be, what is causing their outrage? The fact that their daughter was mentioned in a positive light, or that it was a Democrat that mentioned her name? For, it certainly seems to be okay for Republicans to insult their daughter and her lifestyle.

2. Looks like maybe campaign worker Mary helped orchestrate the outrage!
In an article, "Using Homosexuality: Republican Style" in PhxNews of Arizona:

Sources close to the Bush-Cheney campaign are saying the IDEA for the Cheneys to be "indignant" and force the issue into the campaign "came up in a telephone call between Mary and her parents immediately after the presidential debate Wednesday night."

"The younger Cheney, who serves as a backroom advisor to her father, suggested that she would continue to be a 'issue' for Democrats unless something was done to stop it immediately."

3. Nice, but does visiting that link help get Kerry elected?
The election is in 2 weeks, my friend, and we have a lot of work to do.
