2. here it is-- Al Gore in DC tomorrow
Note: this event is scheduled to be broadcast on C-SPAN 1 at 12:30 pm EST/9:30 am PST on Monday, Oct. 18

Former Vice President Al Gore will deliver his final major policy speech of the campaign season, the last in a series sponsored by MoveOn.org and MoveOn PAC, at Georgetown University's Gaston Hall in Washington, DC on Monday, Oct. 18 at 12:30 p.m.

Gore will charge Bush with a failed Presidency in critical areas including: Iraq, jobs, environment and trust in government.

He will present evidence that President Bush has intentionally deceived the public on Iraq and other issues.

3. Oh, goodness, they'd never do something like that!
</sarcasm> Gore needs to reschedule his speech, if that happens, because the newswhores will cover Chimpy's blathering in its entirety, and Gore will get a few 30-second clips if he's lucky.

4. That would certainly explain Chimpy's absence from the
campaign today.

But there's no way anything he says will "cancel out" Gore's speech/publicity. Gore has become very comfortable in his own skin as of late, and he gives one heck of a speech.

5. Yes
My thoughts exactly! Just wondering if Gore's speech is going to receive the same amount of broadcasting time? SURE!

7. Bush speech will be LIVE breaking news on CNN, FAUX, and MSNBC
Bush has received such abundant FREE air time this past year. Kerry gets "out of context" soundbites and has to BUY rebuttal time.

6. That would explain why the Buffoon...
...in "Chief" is asking for airtime for a major speech, trying to command the news cycle.
