I am watching Demint Tennenbaum debate on Meet The Press
Demint is an absolute moron. The guy just won't answer a question. He has no answers. He wants to leave everything up to somebody else. "Leave it up to the lawmakers"

You want to be a lawmaker you fucking moron. That's why Russert asked the question.

If people in SC vote for this guy, they are just nutz.

1. My DH said so too
He still tries to be open-minded in politics, bless his heart. He was shocked by how stupid DeMint is. No single pregnant women for teachers??? I don't know what else DeMint said, there's a certain level of stupidity I just can't take. But it must have been a doozy to get my husband riled up.

2. A total loser
Using antiquated terms such as "fuzzy math". Couldn't answer one single direct question and Russert was actually skewering his ass.

He reminded me of "Goober" from Mayberry (Gomer's cousin)!

Tennenbaum on the other hand was thoughtful, intelligent and pretty much a reflection of the liberal mind.

3. He was dancing like crazy
It was really funny when Russert kept asking if he stood by his words RE: Gay teachers etc...

That guy was spinning like a top.

10. Russert did a good job, for a change
...and tried to hold his feet to the fire. Maybe he was watching Jon Stewart on CROSSFIRE the other day and grew a few nads.

17. Agreed, he doesn't sound competent enough to run for anything
I finally saw the entire debate. DeMint was the most overmatched senatorial candidate I have ever seen, eclipsing Pete Coors' standard on MTP.

Russert must have asked that gay teacher question a half dozen times and all DeMint could say was he was sorry for distracting from the real issues of the campaign. When Russert pressed him -- if he was sorry for distracting, or sorry he had said it?; did he believe it or had he changed his position? -- DeMint was never skillful enough to alter his canned response or artfully inject something else. Pure ineptitude.

Russert was actually straining his neck forward, in frustrated disblief DeMint would not answer basic questions.

Our only chance to retake the senate was if the GOP sent out a bunch of second stringers. Looks like they may have gone much further down the bench than that.

18. The poor idiot was unwilling to take a stand on anything
controversial before the election-typical politician. DeMint sucks! Inez is not much better. She keeps forgetting that she is running for a senate seat, not for the house of representatives.
