Make this a win for the ages |
|
The defeat of George W. Bush in 2004 is destined to become one of the great exemplary successes of American democracy.
I will tell my grandchildren about it on November 5: many of you will have to wait 20 years to do that--but you will and you should. When you do, they will understand the pride you take in having been part of this.
Together we are going to prove that--for all it's flaws and quirks--our democratic works. We are indeed very lucky to live in a country where this is possible.
Let us also thank the forefathers & mothers who made this possible.
OK--back to work!
