To anyone who thinks the Skank Boat Vets TV ad is credible...
Click on this link from the Toledo Blade home page at:

www.toledoblade.com

On the homepage is The Blade's "Tiger Force Series" of reports which won the newspaper a PULITZER PRIZE a few months ago. It talks of the brutal treatment of the Vietnamese that John Kerry testified on some 30 years ago, and the Skank Boat Vets are trying their best to discredit.

Oh yes, in true feeeper fashion, there were dozens of LTTEs to the Blade, attacking the series as an attack on Bush, and how dare the paper criticize our military action in Vietnam and yada yada yada.

Talk about shooting the messenger.

1. Here's a link to an article I posted yesterday
This guy served with Kerry, and he's got nothing but good things to say about him.

And guess what? He knew Kerry, which is something that can't be said about the the Swiftless.

2. Swift Boat ads turn me off
because the only thing I see when I watch them are a bunch of old, angry white men. As if people of color, male or female, never served in Vietnam!

So I dunno, but the ad feels racist to me, even though they're opposing Our White Boy, Kerry. But if so, no wonder they're voting for Chimpy.

3. Watch my flash attack ad
at Take Back the Media.com - and turn up those speakers.. the music is Hendrix "Machine Gun"..

The Flash is Called "Swiftboat Hatriots" (rhymes with Patriots)

Get the truth at : http://web.takebackthemedia.com/geeklog/public_html/staticpages/index.php?page=20040826021602165

I've a Vietnam Era Vet, and these guys piss me off considerably..

Also have another work just done called: "Our Media is Broken" with tons of clickable links to fight Sinclair's BS, running propaganda days before the election - they have to trash Kerry because he's a HERO and Bush is a COWARD..

Here's that link: http://web.takebackthemedia.com/geeklog/public_html/article.php?story=20041013043933716&query=flash%2Bsymbolman

4. ABC's Nightline did a show that proved Kerry's version of events true
Ted Koppel's Nightline did a show a couple of nights ago where they showed that they went to Viet Nam with reporters and camera men to prove one way or the other if Kerry's version was true.....The Nightline crew PROOVED by interviewing Viet Namese people who were there at the time of the incident, that what Kerry and his supporters are saying is the truth and that the Swift boat veterans are lying......WHY DON'T THE DEMOCRATS USE THIS IN A TV AD or do something with it??....The Swift boat creeps are still putting their lies on TV.....

5. Actually, it was more widespread than that....
"Free fire zones" and "destroying villages to save them," were, as Kerry himself pointed out long ago, war crimes themselves, and these were freely admitted - even by O'Neill.

7. Yeah, but at the time that Kerry revealed the illegality to O'Neill
O'Neill acted like he didn't even know that it was contrary to the Geneva Conventions... which I find credible because the military (then) didn't explain anything about international law.

It pisses me off that O'Neill dismisses the Winter Soldier hearings in which hundreds of Vietnam Vets testified orally to each other all of the things they'd done overseas... things our government trained them and ordered them to do. Colin Powell pisses me off too because he was one of the ones that helped cover up a LOT of shit... which is probably why he sits where he sits today.

I sometimes wonder if O'Neill is really acting out of self-interest here (to sell his book) or not.

6. I almost turned off the new Kerry ad thinking it was MORE Smear Boats --
I'm so glad I didn't! The wife of one of Kerry's buddies (who didn't make it back) was WONDERFUL! Also, since they start it in the same style, I think the Smear Boat fans will probably watch it -- YEAH, TEAM KERRY!!! :)
