It's important that if we hear any news org. pushing the Gallup Poll with the Bush opening a lead meme, that we counter it with emails, letters and phone calls.
This latest Gallup closely mirrors the numbers that Gallup put out in Sept. 3-5 polling showing Bush with a 52-45 lead. The intent and the effect of that poll release was to dampen Kerry's support by pushing those results. It had just that effect on subsequent Zogby releases.
You should be aware that the Sept 3-5 poll had the following partisan breakdown 250 Republicans and 238 Democrats. It's a pretty safe bet that this latest poll is also skewed by oversampling the Republicans.
