CNN in full whore mode
I can't count how many times they've mentioned their CNN/Gallup Poll this morning. Please tell me nobody watches their morning show. Bill Hemer is ridiculously giddy every time he gets a chance to say 52-44. I've heard them mention ONCE that the registered voters in their survey had it 49-46. They asked the Dem Governor from Illinois "what's going on?". Absolutley ridiculous and it shows how one flawed poll can create a negative perception. It's just like when the whore's started asking if John Kerry's mentioning of Mary Cheney was "appropriate". Phrasing a question in that way does nothing but help Bush.

Our spin machine did a TERRIBLE job after the 3rd debate. The media is looking to help Bush win, and our guys simply were not on their toes.

1. This was part of my worries having the debates end 2 1/2 weeks
before the election...

There is too much time for the SMEAR AS USUAL campaign by the media...

2. CNN thinks it is still in embedded status
They did seem somewhat overjoyed with the latest CNN/Gallup poll.

8. Agreed.
We need to support their efforts. Remember that we are in a war with the American media. They have the airwaves but we have the Internet.

6. Terrible job - where are our tough, ruthless people ?
Why has our side gone to sleep again ? Remember, it wasn't our leadership/strategists that got us back in the game -- it was Kerry and his formidable debating skills.

We need to get out there and get back the momentum. Since the last debate, we've let things drift. We need to constantly be on the offensive, not sitting back waiting to get nailed.

Whatever the outcome, I am really disgusted with the way this campaign has been run. It has been a very timid, defensive campaign. Bush is a criminal and he should be 15 points down with no chance of re-selection.

7. It is depressing
But I agree with you completely. Until the debates, I was sort of clueless about CNN bias. But I voted in all of the post debate poll (Thanks to the blessed site DU!) and I saw how they'd stop a poll and post it elsewhere, and seemed to not believe the results of their own poll. And they were the ones that kept up that Cheney lesbo garbage. They kept forgetting to mention that Kerry was answering a question, and thaat Mary Cheney had written a porn book--and she's offended because Kerry spoke the truth?

basically never. Just turn them off. Their viewership is going down the tubes anyway. You might as well be part of the trend.

11. Stop watching cable. Start phone banking and precinct walking.
Circumvent the spin. You are not going to change CNN in 15 days. But you can reach out to over 3,000 voters if you start working today.

12. REUTERS POLL SHOWS DEAD-HEAT (with Kerry gaining on Bush)
Reuters Poll: Bush, Kerry Tied in White House Race
By REUTERS

Published: October 18, 2004

Filed at 7:12 a.m. ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic Sen. John Kerry pulled into a statistical dead heat with President Bush in a seesawing battle for the White House, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released Monday.

The latest three-day tracking poll showed Kerry and Bush deadlocked at 45 percent apiece barely two weeks before the Nov. 2 election. The president had a 46-44 percent lead over the Massachusetts senator the previous day, and a four-point lead the day before that.

15. And remember thjat just a few days ago when Gallup had Kerry
beating the shit out of Bush in the third debate, they barely mentioned it but pushed the Zogby poll for the day after and they NEVER push Zogby. If it comes to it, these lame fuckers will do a poll among Kindergarten kids and announce that Bush won it.

16. The good news is the CNN morning show sucks.
I mean. who wants to watch Jack "Dracula" Cafferty. The man gives people the creeps. And Hemmer is incredibly stupid.

The bad news everything else that's on in the morning is just as anti-Kerry.

19. We should remind them that polls aren't always accurate
Take this one from October 20, 2000, for example:

Tracking poll: Bush may be expanding lead over Gore
By CNN Polling Director Keating Holland

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Texas Gov. George W. Bush may be expanding his narrow lead over Vice President Al Gore in the hard-fought presidential race, according to Friday's CNN/USA Today/Gallup tracking poll. Friday's results indicate Bush garnering 50 percent and Gore drawing 40 percent of likely voters' support.

To give them credit, they did at least acknowledge this may not be reflecting the post-debate sentiment.

22. They did it on purpose!
LOL criminy!

They *went out of their way* to determine WHO is going to be a likely voter and who ISN'T by some ridiculous "enthusiasm" poll that they took along with it, and then skewed the results with it!

21. And NOT A SINGLE Dem surrogate pointed out the bias. My new approach:
if Dem talkers and spokespeople won't stand up to the whores, niether will I. GO GO Bill!! GO GO Wolf!! GO GO Judy!

Maybe if I let them whore uncontested, they'll invite me on their shows too. And then I will be a Kool Kid on my block.

26. In my opinion,
some of the spokesmen for the democrats have not been very good. They don't appear to be very knowledgeable and are not fast on their feet. I rarely watch CNN but did watch the segment on the African American vote which was just on. Armstrong Williams was able to get away with his misinformation. Roland Martin the other African American did not mention the Zogby poll when the host opened the show saying that Bush was leading in the polls. I found Martin's performance to be unsatisfactory just as I have found that of other spokesmen for the democrats.

27. I'm Sick of Polls
I usually watch CNN in the morning - since I lost my job - and they really hacked me off today with that stupid poll. I think they gave the results 4 times in a hour period. I finally quit watching because they were giving me a headache.

Personally, I try not to pay attention to any polls because I'm sick of them all. I realy don't think any of them can be trusted because they don't take into account how many new voters there are or they over sample Repugs. I think I heard this one this morning had done that.

I will say this: I truly believe Kerry is going to win, but there is a part of me that is frightened for this county if he doesn't. I try not to dwell on it because I have enough to worry about.

28. Even worse
In their average of polls, they have selected the 5 polls that have the highest percentages between Kerry and BUsh and leaving out other polls that have Kerry and BUsh much closer.
