Should Gallup's PROPOGANDA Polls Be A Big Story?
I think so...I think the big story today should be about how Gallup is pushing bogus polls in order to influence the election in favor of Bush...

1. I just sent them a nasty as hell letter...
Told Carlos Watson to go to hell with his "Bush is gaining momentum" BS, after they deliberately skewed their own poll.

He's all "Gee, there's such a huge difference between the RV and LV, I wonder why that is!" :eyes:

2. I agree that the Gallup....
poll is off base and inaccurate. But what would be Gallup's motives to influence the election for Bush. Maybe they just beieve in the way they do their polls (flawed polls that is).

4. What Would Be Their Motive????
Are you kidding? $$$$$$$$$ Among other things.

Did you know that Gallup got the contract to do polling in IRAQ right after the war? Guess what they found? They found that the Iraqi's loved us. I'm not kidding. And they got paid for that.

7. Their motive is, they want bush elected. I don't care what the reason
is for why they want him elected. BTW, they did the same thing in 2000. I also don't care what the reason is why Sinclair wants * elected. All I care about is that what they're doing is promoting propaganda in the USA. I only care that by doing so, they are attempting to influence an election.

3. I agree. The tactic of polling more GOPers than Dems and calling...
...that group "likely voters" is pretty underhanded.

5. Democrats dot com had a call for a class action suit
against Gallop/CNN/USA Today for these "outlying" (meaning, I think, outright lying) polls. Their sample includes way too many Republicans and no newly registered voters.

Just checked Democrats dot com and there is nothing new on the class action. Has anyone heard of the class action moving forward? I have my checkbook ready.

8. Stop accepting the polls & start CHALLENGING them!!
Said this in another post, and would like to repeat it here.

Let's face it, the media loves polls -- actually, a lot of DUers have a fascination with them too! So here's what our Democratic surrogates need to start doing on all those talk shows:

CNN pundit: "The latest CNN/Gallup poll has Bush up by 8 points even though most thought Kerry did better in the debates. Why is this?"

DEM Spokesperson: "You know, there are serious questions about bias in the Gallup polls. Until Gallup does a better job of explaining its methodology, I'm surprised that reputable news organizations still use them."

ABC pundit: According to our daily tracking poll, Kerry just can't seem to overtake Bush.

DEM spokesperson: Well, according to the ABC tracking polls in 2000, Bush was consistently ahead of Gore by 2 - to 4 points. That sure turned out to be wrong, didn't it?

You get the drift. Stop giving credibility to these polls by talking about them like they are credible! We don't on DU, but our Democratic surrogates do...

Gets back to the question, are Dems to darn polite?!!!?

11. Yeah, But It's More Insidious Than Just Being Wrong
Gallup is actively peddling bogus polls and they know it...

9. More important. talk to your DOOM and GLOOM Dem friends
you know, the ones who say - "CNN just said Bush is going to win. . .I am so depressed." Those people are on the verge of getting depressed and STAYING HOME on election day. That is what this is all about. . . .SO GET 'EM MOTIVATED, Tell them the truth about Gallop, and Bust their Butts to get to the polls to vote for JOHN KERRY, no matter what CNN says.

10. I'm sick of these bogus polls!
I recruited another Kerry voter this weekend. Ex-Marine/Ret. Fire Fighter. I really shouldn't say I recruited him, just encouraged him in the direction he was leaning anyway. Kerry's going to win this election, fair and square (just like Gore did) and the neo-con's are not going to get away with stealing this election.
