Kerry is losing his voice...
He's speaking in Florida--live on MSNBC right now.

He's getting a little squeaky.

John, I'll be glad to fix you a bourbon, honey, and lemon, if you like.

1. Well, as long as he can throw kisses when he wins
He really doesn't need to say anything more.

3. I don't know how they do it
It can't be easy ... the schedule, the non-stop speaking and greeting, the admirers coming up to you in the bathroom when all you want to do is take a freaking piss. It's hard work :)

4. Old political trick
It makes it look like he is campaigning hard. (Which he is)
People listen more intently because they are awed that he is still speaking out.

I'm glad they are smart enought to use it.

5. How does the crowd look?
Does it appear to be a very large crowd?

12. I don't think it is a trick, old or otherwise. Giving 3 or more speeches
a day to large crowds is very taxing on the vocal chords; I speak from experience here. If you will look back at specific events and Kerry (44)'s performance voice-wise, you will find that, when he gets a decent night's sleep and takes a day or two off to rest his voice, he comes out strong, clear and coherent. Look at his performances at the DNC and the debates: No voice problems there, because part of his preparation was taking a couple of days off from speaking and resting his normally strong voice.

In our attempt to explain everything, sometimes we are too smart by half. I don't think that we even begin to appreciate the physical and mental toll that campaigning for president takes on the human body. Little sleep, inconsistent meals, constant travel and much more public speaking than is healthy. Kerry is about 60 years old and I am amazed that he has shown so much physical strength and endurance. I expect that our 44th president will work hard at that job; Yet it will be much less physically taxing than what he has had to go through to get that job.

What you are seeing is a tough guy who is determined to keep his appearance and speaking commitments even when he is tired, sick, or has already overtaxed his vocal chords. He's been through worse; a little laryngitis is not going to stop him now.

John Kerry: Because serious times require a serious leader.

8. Clinton did as well
in his first campaign. He had to have Hillary make some of the speeches in those last few days.

This is a GOOD sign as far as I am concerned. Talk on John, til you can't talk any more!

9. Reminds Me Of Clinton On The Campaign Trail
Man they work hard. Nice to see all the huge crowds they're getting -- hope it lifts up our candidates going into the home stretch!

10. His live speech on MSNBC- his voice was strong till they cut him off!!
He was really on a roll earlier this morning, his voice very strong and clear as well as his message. He was in the middle of making a great point involving war in Iraq, when commentator broke in and muted him completely in mid-sentence and never returned to his speech!

11.  I was watching it on msnbc...
His voice broke frequently as he spoke. It wasn't that his voice was gravelly through the whole speech, but on some words, he lost his voice.
