Rumor: our Oct Surprise?

Has anyone else heard this rumor: we've got some serious dirt on Rove due to be dropped on or about the 20th of October?

I've had a bigwig friend of mine mention this...I've read it at the DailyKos...and I've read it at several other blogs and websites.

I want some backup on this, dammit!

Well, if there is an October surprise related to Karl Rove, it would have to be something involving the outing of CIA undercover operative Valerie Plame. I think H2OMan would be the one to know best. Or else, they have deduced that Rove had Bush wired for the debates?

If there is anything else, I have no idea. There is just so much out there on Bush & his administration that they make Nixon's people look like Boy Scouts: Abu Graib; threatening the Medicare actuary; the outing of Mohammed Khan to justify the recent terror alert; Cheney's office directing contracts to Halliburton; Abu Graib; no post invasion planning in Iraq; Pentagon spy scandal involving Larry Franklin (with implications it could go as high as Wolfowitz, Perle & Feith); Abu Graib; Bush family Nazi connections; etc, etc.

I am sure my list missed a lot as well.

not sure if it's what you've heard.......not sure how true it is. Supposedly they've been sitting on it since July of 2001.

I'm more worried about the supposed Kerry peein on the flag video, that may appear within the sinclair documentary.

Strikes me that if there was such a thing, it would've come up during one of his previous elections. Besides, even in his twenties, Kerry was too politically astute to pull something that incendiary.

34. Reviews of film

The thing with this is that I actually went and read a review of the film (completely because I was freaked out by this rumor). The review I read was by freakin' scary ass Kate O'Beirne, and she of course went on and on about how awful this was for Kerry because of the POW testimony, but not a WORD about the flag thing. I can't imagine that this "news" wouldn't be all over the place if people have actually seen the movie already, and they have, right?

So unless it gets dropped into the film at the last minute, I think we can rest easy on that. Hope so, anyway. I just can't picture Kerry having ever done such a thing.

....that makes the last few weeks of a presidential campaign so much fun/exhausting. Up one day, down the next, polls flying every which way.

I haven't had a good night's sleep in a long time. At least here in Austin, Texas I get to see a lot of KE signage.

I just hope we do have a surprise on the back burner, because I have a bad feeling that BC do.
