Freeway Blogging mushrooms as election nears
"A vote for Bush shames our war dead" says one sign. The original freeway blogger has spawned 100s of similar efforts across the country and people are noticing.

For the past two years, the Orange County, California, resident has hidden himself behind the moniker "Freeway Blogger," scouring the highways of Southern California, tagging interstate overpasses with simple black-on-white signs containing messages such as "The War Is A Lie," "Osama Bin Forgotten" and "Rumsfailed."

Patrick's response to 1,000 dead soldiers was a rush to put up 100 signs in a single night. He almost made it, but fatigue forced him to stop at 83. Still, the Freeway Blogger's exhaustion only meant more canvas for other public protest artists.

An overview of the effort here:

1. There's one I'm thinking of doing...
A HUGE Bush/Cheney sign on my way to work up on 2x4s... I want to string a big sheet or something under it with 4 more wars on one side and because peace and prosperity are boring on the other.

Freeway blogging is pretty cool, and people do see it, for sure. Whether it makes a difference, who knows. Let's hope so!

2. There are a bunch of stickers here in NYC
phone booths and such. At the very least it lets like minded people see our numbers.

3. I use that one locally...
I've printed them up and leave them on Hummers I see around town. I've made one change tho, mine read:

Soldiers are dying in their Hummers
So you can go shopping in yours
10 miles per gallon, 2 soldiers per day
