What was the story of the primaries? An energized democratic party
We have some pollsters and pundits saying the GOP is more energized than the democrats. That is crap. In the primaries democratic turnout was very high and every election day the pundits were saying, "These democrats are united and want Bush defeated." Interest was high among dems in Jan-April the competitive primary period. Now why would suddenly democratic interest be low? Things have not imporved in Iraq or substantially with the economy. Bush proved himself to be an idiot during the debates--confirming everything we realized about him.

So when these stupid pollsters and pundits say "The GOP is more energized" don't believe it, we have had proof of democratic enthusiasm in the primaries.

1. And let's not forget
that we actually won the popular vote, not to mention the destroyed or uncounted Florida votes.

It's hard to believe the 2000 majority combined with the 4 million new Dem registrants that things are like what's being fed to us.

2. Motivated
I agree this is bull. I have been calling for John Kerry and the one constant throughout my calls is the level of activity. I have spoken to more people(including myself) who are volunteering for the first time. I was watching the main correspondent for the Wash Poat and he said he has been out all over the country and the level of Demo participation is unbelievable. All the bloggers are now traveling to swing states to work. Keep on working

3. Let them claim what they want
I'm still curious how you can even effectively measure such a thing. We know that we are going to be voting in record numbers. Let's take them by surprise.
