Campaign signs in my neighborhood
The restrictive covenants of my subdivision prohibit yard signs except for building contractors and realtors. Nevertheless, the Bush*Cheney signs have begun to sprout like poison mushrooms. I sent an e-mail to the President, board of directors, and all members, quoting the rule and hoping for voluntary compliance. There is also a local judge (repug) in our neighborhood who is running for re-election. He has one of his signs in his yard.

I learned that the board has decided not to enforce the rule during the campaign season. "I ain't goin' to the judge's house and tell him he has to take his sign down."

I now have two Kerry-Edwards signs in my yard and one for the lady running against our incumbent congresspuke.
But I'm still pissed.
:grr:

Republican rule of law -- "you do what we tell you to, and we'll do what we damn well please."

5. Miz t. vetoed the idea.
I wanted to slip the word to a local reporter I know.
Miz t. doesn't want a neighborhood feud started, and I respect her feelings.
But I might slip the word to someone who might slip the word.
Headline:
"Local judge in violation of subdivision rules"
