10. Clark shouldn't answer questions?

This is getting ridiculous. Why does every candidate have to answer questions except Dean and Clark. It's a great way to deflect questions for a while, but sooner or later, it all comes out. Why don't Clark people get the answers out early, so they can get them behind them and have the rest of the campaign sail smoothly.

Seriously, Clark is proud of his record, the work he's done and the money he's made and is open about it.

12. The vulnerability of the late arrival

when in the past he had no political career or roots. They can and do substitute non-political viewpoints and the effects of unfairness in a late, narrow, highly competitive campaign are obviously magnified.

The trouble is, if Clark proves he can overcome that, he will make them worse than backfire. He will prove his political credentials.

That they choose these withering occasional attacks rather than complete silence in the midst of his growing numbers is not a bad sign for the Clark campaign, but an indicator of great viability.

However any small hurt might be significant and that is why the memes and the quotes will keep coming at key moments. Key, carefully timed moments. I think Clark is learning to respond very well, better than other candidates in fact.

Don't tell me that the news editors aren't aware of their bashing effect, or that the Clinton hating "liberal" media such as the cliquish NYT isn't continuing a nation-devastating feud of its own.
