If Bush wins..who will be to blame ?
MSNBC is reporting that Bush is "pulling away" in the polls, and this is depressing me.

The question is if Bush wins, who will be to blame ? As Churchill said, "people get the govt. they deserve", should we blame it on the slight majority of Americans who are either dumb or wicked ?

Will America as a nation pay a price for the mistake of a slight majority of its ciitizens ?

I would like to hear your thoughts.

11. It will be our fault
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 01:49 PM by Rambis
I don't want to wake up and have to say... I could have put up one more yard sign, collected one more ballott, canvassed one more house or written one more letter to the editor. I voted early . I am driving anyone that wants to go vote Deomocrat to the polls on election day. Get out there. When you send your emails about the evils of bush to the choir send one to a repug too. I haven't converted to many but there has been one.

don't hurt yourself over it
it's the people who vote for him that are at fault.

there are times to get a little zen about about it and realize that you can only control so much, that you are nnot responsible for other people being assholes.

3. The "polls" said Bush had a 10 pt lead over Gore too...
...it's not too late for them to continue being stupid. Who will be to blame? I know that presently, the world hates Bush, but they will blame US if he serves a second term. Why let the corpowhore media depress you? That's their Modus Operandi, suppression of the vote. You want to let the corporate whores tell you how to think and vote?

Who is so irresponsible, self-centered, lazy, befuddled, and jingoistic that he/she couldn't see beyond the RW mantra spewed out by the Corporate media and make up his own mind about who was best for the country.

was pulling way away away in the polls, and um, gosh, I'm
scared and, doh, should we give up and everythig or like what?
Well, what do you all guys think about that, um, huh?"

BTW, Zogby and Rasmussen show Kerry pulling up even
with the idiot. Like in that old song, "Hey, Buddy,
how do I get this car ... out ... of ... second gear!"

29. Why me ?
I did my patriotic bit. I was a Dean volunteer in IA. On election day I am going to drive two states across to OH to help with get out the vote. I have all the Anti Bush/KE bumper stickers on my car, I spit on the ground every time I walk by a parked car with a BC04 sticker on it. What more can I do ?

If there is anything that ,I, could do to assure the toppling of the Bush regime, I would.

21. MSGOP is reporting this? Gosh what a shocker!
Okay, enough with the sarcasm, I know you've all heard the polls are bullshit. But apparently we're letting ourselves believe them anyway.

But to answer your question: We'll all be to blame. Dems for not coming together enough and not fighting harder. Repugs for being too scared or stubborn or ignorant or selfish to see the truth. Non-voters for not fucking voting. Barbara Bush for giving birth to that jackass and George H.W. for not giving him enough attention. BushCo for being evil and rotten to the core and stopping at nothing to gain world domination. The media for planting its collective set of lips firmly betwixt the cheeks of Dubya and for lying shamelessly.

This is starting to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech.

23. The Media wants Bush to win.
They have great little war to keep their viewer ratings up. If Kerry wins they will start having report on things besides the horrors of war. So they do not want Bush out of office, cause if Bush wins we are going into Iran or Syria next and that means more war and embedded reporters to report on battles and really cool scenes of Planes bombing something or troops in a fire fight. They do not want to report on the things happening in this country if they did Bush would lose and lose big.

30. Media for not covering his disasterous term as pResident
Scared to death from 9/11 and not looking "patriotic", they've given a rubber stamp to everything this idiot has done.

Even in cheerleading for the war, the only defense they can cite is the same old, tired "Clinton thought he had weapons too."

fuck Clinton and FUCK the Corporate media.

If one good thing has come out of this disasterous regime, it's the re-emergence of alternative media as the only source actually telling the truth, actually doing it's job.

33. Obviously the whole party
Its up to all Democrats to win this thing. Each one us including the candidates will share in the blame.

I see people that want to blame Americans, isn't it our job to educate them about our party?

One last comment, many mistakes in politics last for years, its a fact that problems from the past are still impacting this party today. If we lose, I think it means we will win bigger next time, its like a pendulum.
