Going to vote today - you should too! |
|
Well today is the day I've been waiting for! I'll be leaving to vote straight democratic, or, if no democrat is running for an office, whoever else is running against the republican within an hour.
Even though this is Texas don't be surprised if we pick up some congressional and state wide offices. I've got a GOOD feeling about our chances in the other races. And since this is Texas I can only imagine how well we are doing in other states.
From what I understand other states do early voting as well. Remember to vote and ask as many democratic leaning people as possible to do so as well. If we have a good turn out we win.

1. early voting worries me for some reason |
|
i can see the early voting results being 80% democratic, so they get "lost" all over the place.

2. It is all computer here |

So if they are going to "lose" it I suspect it won't matter one way or another as far as when one votes.
Please people do NOT fail to vote because you think your vote won't count. A lot of people will tell you it won't because they have done X thing to rig the election. It's BS. Your vote DOES count so VOTE.
People telling you the election is rigged does NOT mean you shouldn't vote even if it might make you feel that way. More than likely it is not rigged and more than likely your vote WILL count. So please vote.

Unfortunately there is no alternative here but to use computer with no paper trail.
You can't even vote absentee (the only way to use paper) unless you are out of town for 2 weeks before the election and on election day. You can't be in town even once during that time period. Otherwise you've broken the law. The only exceptions are being in jail, being over 65, or be disabled.

6. My family decided we WON'T vote early, because... |
|
my sons have insisted that they are concerned that by voting early here in Mi. (where the only option of voting early is by voting absentee) their ballots may disappear. Plus, they say they want the EXPERIENCE of standing in line, voting, and pushing the ballot into the scanner. They believe that if * "wins" they may never get the chance to vote again, so they intend to enjoy the entire experience - I'm proud of them! We're going together as a family, just as we did in 2000.
It must be thrilling to be able to cast your vote today - I am quite envious of you all - enjoy!
