How are you helping Kerry win?
I'm traveling to NV every weekend. Mostly canvassing right now, some phone banking.

Just interested in how other DUers are helping the Kerry campaign...

8. Phone banked Friday, GOTV and visibility the next two
Phone banked last Friday.

Will head to HQ and see what they need on Friday coming up and Sunday.

On Halloween, the Sunday before elections, my wife and I will be on a corner somewhere in our Jack and Sally Skellington costumes holding Kerry Edwards signs, or again, whatever they tell us to do.

My wife's the real trooper though--she's a local ward captain, she's been going door-to-door, been phone calling, you name it.

I'm in Wisconsin, so I couldn't sleep at night if I didn't do everything I could.

if it wasn't for a stupid 12hr/day job I'd be out there right now. As it is I'm working on building my righteous indignation level. :)

24. Are you listening to them? Ask what their top issues are
and go at it from the angle of letting them answer their own questions (they know what's right, but they just won't say the words)...

for example, if jobs are important, ask "when were jobs plentiful? who was president?"

17. Better late than never: Lorain County, Ohio
Sorry this is the next day, had to rush out to a planning meeting last night.
We still need many volunteers, they said 687 or more for election day alone.
The plans include lawyers to be available at polls for issues that might arise.
There were lawyers at this meeting last night from California.
We are prepared if we can get the man or women power.

13. I'm distributing campaign literature & giving signs out
I've been a failure trying to convert my Republican friends, however. When I try to talk to them about the election, they look at me with glazed over eyes, sort of that deer-in-the-headlight look that * gets. Its very frustrating, because they are very good people, but completely bamboozled by *'s lies. I did have success with the son of one of my friends though--I encouraged him to see Fahrenheit 9/11 and now he's going to vote Kerry!

How could I forget about the money I donated? It was more than I could afford, really.

16. I'm trying to get my fellow Minnesotans to join with me…
To do some visibility(honk & waves or Kerry convoys) but not getting much interest so far. None the less I'm still doing my part of putting up yard signs & plastering my vehicle with pro-Kerry signage.

Travelled to a swing state once, gonna do it again.
Donated money.
Done lots of canvassing for D's on my home turf.
Election judge on election day. I was going to travel out of town... but I really want to be with my fellow Dallas for Kerry peeps for this one, for some reason. And, you have to live in a precinct to be the judge there.... so I'm needed! :)

20. In MT I'm focussing on Schweitzer for GOV
but I speak Kerry when I canvas.

I have distributed about 500 random fliers - mostly medicare scam in elderly neighborhoods. If we can turn the old vote out in MT in favor of Kerry he will have a stronger showing and Schweitzer will win.

Anyway, keep up the good work! I have some friends that are doing the Reno thing right now.
As for me? I've sent the JK campaign over a thousand bucks for use in the battle ground states where it's needed most.... AND I think we are going to win this thing!
