Kerry flu shot
I've heard people whining all day because Kerry supposedly got a flu shot. I am not even sure it is true. But if it IS true, consider this:

Kerry comes into contact with THOUSANDS of people every day, all over the nation. Without the shot, he could end up being a sort of typhoid Mary. So if he got the shot, it seems more like a sensible precaution than an act of "arrogance."

5. Yep
Does anyone really buy his tripe that he isn't getting a flu shot? I couldn't believe he said that. Then again, I can't believe pretty much anything he says.

6. Where is your link?
"I've heard people whining" is not evidence. Which people? Do they enjoy the LEFT BEHIND series? Do they post at RW forums? Who, pray tell, are these PEOPLE????

I haven't heard a SINGLE person say anything about this, today, yesterday, or the day before...the very first I heard of this issue was when you brought it up.

I'll call it what it is. Bullshit.

8. Consider this. Most flu shots contain mercury
Under the Homeland Security Act, we can no longer sue for poisonous shots.

9. personally
I'd want Bush, Cheney, Kerry, and Edwards to have a flu shot. This January ain't going to be pretty no matter who wins, and the last thing we need is the President in bed with the flu.

12. Absolutely right!
If Bush and Cheney refuse to get the shots as a way of earning cheap political points, then they should be ashamed.

16. True
Junior would use that as his excuse to avoid the inauguration of President Kerry and I really, REALLY want to see him suffering through every moment of it. I won't see Junior, at all, at first, but I'll study him on tape when it's all over. For, oh, so many years. ;)

14. Flying from cold weather states to Florida and back, again
Repeatedly? I'd get a flu shot, but I doubt that Senator Kerry did. Although, honestly, it certainly wouldn't bother me if he did. In two weeks, I'd like to see a healthy President-Elect deciding on his Cabinet. Of course, when that happens, even if I do have the flu, I'll still be Snoopy-dancing all over town!

Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 03:38 PM by BlueNomad
are considered high risk and advised t get a flu shot but I will let my medical friends come along to alleviate your fears. Where do you live where you "have heard people whining all day about Kerry's flu shot." And why would you care? With two weeks to election day, I doubt that if they are whining about that that they are seriously or remotely in his camp....just a thought....

25. (Flameproof suit on) Bush should have one, too.
It is absolutely the height of irresponsibility for the President of the United States not to have a flu shot.

This is a national security issue and demonstrates how badly they just don't "get it."

28. ***Ahem**** Here is a link on why Kerry SHOULD have gotten a flu shot.
Especially if he hopes to be a healthy president, which all should want him to be...correct?

In addition, the study showed that cancer survivors were less likely to receive recommended preventive care, such as:

Eye exams
Flu shots
Cholesterol screening
-snip

Right there for you to read. End of story.

30. Absolutely Kerry should get one-
when Bush said he wasn't going to, I yelled at the TV that he was irresponsible. Despite the fact that he is a total fuckup, he IS supposedly running this country. With all the vacation time he takes, we don't need him having sick days too.

Kerry has to be healthy enough to complete the campaign and deal with all the crap that is going to happen after November 2. He has to be healthyl He should get a flu shot.

It is pure Rove. Whispering campaign... The elitist getting special priveleges before "real" Americans... Despicable. Make up a lie and make it go viral. We NEED to get better at this folks, if only to shove it down the throats of fucks like Rove.

ON EDIT: By talking about this, we're Rove's bitches. Drop it like a chunk of uranium.
