2. They watch a lot of TV, especially pro wrestling.
Sinclair owns a lot of TV, especially all the pro wrestling. There might be a connection.

I still don't believe the polls.

4. They're just making shit up.
Anything to justify the numbers. Remember Dean? The night of the Iowa primary the talking heads on CNN were giving it to Dean while waiting for the returns to come in. Had all sorts of numbers that said it was a walk for Dean.
Returns come in having Kerry winning and Judy Ruff Ruff and company were speechless..didn't know what to think.

Bush's poll numbers aren't going up. They're dropping. At least in Zogby and Rasmussen. Not that CNN would ever mention that.

bunch of dumb blue collar flag-waving middle-20s guys who beer-up all weekend and make noise up and down the block. They associate being pro-Bush with being "macho", I think, and it makes them think they are not such losers after all.

13. The small dick brigade
They must have to compensate for their own size by thinking they are voting for macho Bush.

Get the meme out to them that Bush acts tough because he also has a small dick. Only his is unusable because he drank it to death. Then he "found religion" when he mistook impotence for virtue.

17. Point out to the "macho men" that Bush is an effete...
...Yalie who was a cheerleader and dodged Vietnam. What's so macho about that? Hell, he isn't even "macho" with his war on terror. Rather than going after the guy that punched us in the nose, he hunted down some dirty old man and kicked him. That's not macho, that's cowardly.

WTF? As a whole, Repukes are motivated about the local trash collector race - they just vote more consistently than Dems.

And please - I have never seen Democrats more motivated than they are today!

18. Inevitable. Inexorable.
Tomorrow's polls will reveal that a slight majority of self-described Democratic voters across the nation plan on voting for President Bush.

We might as well just throw in the towel.

And Tom Burka has revealed the reason why Gallup oversamples Republicans:

Gallup Only Poll To Reflect Expected Voter Fraud

Predicts Votes Likely To Be or Not To Be

The Gallup Organization, responding to charges that it greatly over-sampled Republicans in calculating Bush's and Kerry's support among likely voters in its latest poll, said that it did so in order to take into account the massive voter fraud which is expected to take place between now and election day.

According to Gallup, among registered voters, Bush leads 46%-43 %, a virtual tie within the margin of error. Among Gallup's likely voters -- by which they mean, "voters whose votes are likely to be counted" -- Bush will win easily, 52%-44%.

"We're quite surprised that other polling organizations have failed to artificially jack up the Republican sample in the likely voter mix given the track record of Sproul and Associates and their ilk," said Jack Gallup. "Why aren't other pollsters counting the soon-to-be uncounted?"

Gallup was referring to the GOP-funded group that destroyed thousands of Democrats' voter registrations in Nevada and Oregon recently.

"We try to keep track of voter fraud so that we can calculate for it in our polls, but after Nevada, Oregon, New England, South Dakota and Ohio, and Florida, it's hard to keep up," said Lynn Gallup. "We're thinking of just sampling Republicans. It would make our lives a lot easier."

"We expect thousands upon tens of thousands of democratic voters to be methodically disenfrachised --and that's just in Texas. In the swing states, we expect democratic voters to be -- well, rounded up and taken to Texas."

20. Racists: poor whites in city. Polls dont ask if racist, but a huge factor
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 03:57 PM by oscar111
polls gave up asking if racist, i figure, so we also forgot about it as the

HUGE source of repub strength.

Blacks are ninety percent Dem, so the poor folks pushing the poll for bush, must be all whites , poor, in the city.

Just the group that most harbors racism.. partly because i have found, that when the two groups black and white, are most in contact, racism goes to its highest level. Not what i would want, but that is the sad fact of american life today.

It all figures.. an unnoticed factor.. racism.. is pushing for bush.. and we wonder why all the crisises in the economy never hurt bush. Racists feel bush will deliver racism.

CURES: we can grab the racist vote .. part of it,

1. Offer a Jobs for All plan.. then whites will not fear ethnics competing for scarce jobs . TOTAL employment, not four percent unemp,.
Via a new WPA, via french "share the work" method, via set up thousands of co ops, via land reform returning farms to FAMILIES.

Clintons SEC OF LABOR, rbt reich, advises:

http://www.njfac.org

2. Offer a Guarantee for House Value, to end fear of ethnic blockbusting.

The "white backlash" against integration of the sixties, just keeps on going. I see it as why Reagan got in. Ignore it and lose. Today, repubs have power because of 1. racism 2. hate radio.
