Hard to believe, but Russert was tough on a rethug on MTP. |
|
Watching yesterday's MTP on C-span now, and Russert was really giving DeMint (R-SC senate candidate) a really hard time on his national sales tax proposal.
Tenenbaum the dem is a really good candidate, hope she can win.

I thought he was TOUGHER on Bush during his Meet the Press interview than I've seen any media-related figure be in years. Did he skewer the little prick like we would have? Well, no. But it wasn't like the O'Reilly On-Air Hummer that Fox showed the other week.

2. Yep, Russert did what he was supposed to do to both sides |
|
He also questioned DeMint on his across the board abortion ban as to who would be prosecuted when an abortion happened. He basically had to just throw his hands up and say that he couldn't write all of the laws right then and there. :eyes:

5. Russert creamed Dr. DeMinto |
|
He nailed his ass on the 23% sales tax proposal--then Tennenbaum pasted him with the consequences of the sales tax by pointing out that even states and localities would be hit with the tax--thus forcing states and municipalities to hike taxes on the neediest.
