Help de-freep this MSNBC poll
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6092749/

Bush is currently at 59%, Kerry at 41%.

I know these online polls are easily skewed, but unfortunately, a lot of people tend to vote for who they believe will win. Creating the impression that it's going to be a Kerry landslide will help grab these voters.

Cheers,
Sagar

5. I'm not so sure...
people "vote for who they believe will win" anymore. I sense this election will be different since the debacle in 2000 and MOST people will vote firmly one way or another based on non-poll factors. Those who cannot decide in the need usually break toward the challenger.

If Kerry was shown up in the polls by the media right now, I would not feel any more safe than I do today about a Kery win. Best case right now of these media-induced low polls is that Rove & Co. will not feel the need to pull out any surprises sensing a win.

7. I know what you mean...
I personally liked Matt Stone's advice to those who are still undecided: stay home. Don't vote.

But I still think it's important to continue creating a perception that Kerry's going to win, Rove notwithstanding.

11. Actually Stone is a nihlist.
Ebert called the message of his Team America movie..."If you care, then your stupid...which isn't a good message, and it's also doesn't make for a funny movie. Thumbs down."

12. Good point
"Best case right now of these media-induced low polls is that Rove & Co. will not feel the need to pull out any surprises sensing a win."

Maybe we won't see a full scale assault on Fallujah now to get a "crisis" bump.

15. Forgetabout it. 178,700 votes in.
The numbers won't change. The MSNBC polls on the election switched in mid-September. Before that, Chimp was getting 39%. I don't know what happened to reverse it. I saw one poll get to 2 million votes and the numbers were still like this one.
