Report from the Florida Battleground!
Good news yesterday. After 40 years of endorsing Republicans for President, the Tampa Tribune refused to endorse Bush, although they didn't have the * to endorse Kerry. They did, however, run a full page of criticisms of the Bush admin. Also, the day after *'s gaffe on the "all volunteer" draft, the Daytona newspaper endorsed Kerry.

Today, Edwards appeared here in Florida in Ft. Myers (See other thread for great pix and story) Early voting started today, and we are encouraging voters to start early. Right now, we have a couple guys with a 4' x 8' sign in the median near the elections office.

Southwest Florida definitely is seeing the strongest support ever for a Democratic Presidential candidate. I am in charge of canvassing 10 precincts where only 3,000 of 6,000 registered Dems voted in 2000. We are getting enthusiastic response in these 10 precincts, and my prediction is we will gain close to 2,000 votes in this area alone.

2. Update
Just got word that the early voting is very busy, and many, if not most of the early voters are sporting Kerry-Edward buttons!

5. They are wearing candidate support gear to the polls?
Is that legal? Believe me, I am thrilled, but I would hate for the Republicans to whine that candidate gear is illegally being worn inside the polling places.

6. Excellent news!
Imagine if Kerry just swamps Bush in FL...How sweet will that be? I am also skeptical, knowing they will stop at nothing to win, but maybe just maybe we can overwhelm their cheating asses with our votes for democracy!

8. I don't know how much early voting will help us.
I just don't. You know, all those ballots just lying around for weeks.
