Watching TV, Why the F. is * in NJ. ? Remember how he went to CA in 2000 |
|
right at the end -- a useless trip. Channel 7 news said he's down 6 pts. in NJ. Why go there?

Bush has no chance to win NJ. Rove had Bush do the same thing in 2000 - he campaigned in California near the end to make it seem like he was far enough ahead he could spend time in a solid blue state. It was an effort to create the perception Bush had the race in the bag so demoralized Dems would stay home. The reality is the race was much closer than Rove ever let on, and the strategy failed.
And it's going to fail this time, too.

we won't know why he went to NJ for a few days.....they are pretty good at "setting the table". I'd watch for some major news to come out concerning NJ in the next two or three days......

4. Playing the terra card hard |

He's trying to make NJ competitive. Some polls have shown the race closer here then I believe it really is, hard to believe that he'd get more votes the second time around as Gore won big.
But many of us live in sight of Manhatten and there's an empty place on the skyline not to mention we saw the event firsthand. So Bushhead comes to NJ to try and get people to think only he can protect us..barf.
At least he went to South Jersey, more conservative than the rest of the state, and of course out-of-eyerange of Manhatten.

8. They are trying to draw Dem resources into NJ. |
|
Someone already pointed out a similar stunt in 2000 with California.
They are hoping the Kerry campaign panics and throws money and time into NJ. That would draw money and time away from Ohio and Florida. It is a sign of Bush*s desperation, not strength. He needs Kerry to falter in both of those states, or he's through. This head fake is a feeble attempt to gain some respite.
