Doesn't anyone care they are paying twice for gas now than when |
|
Bush took office? I only hear excuses of why gas is so high but I never hear why it is the oil companies have the RECORD profits since Bush took office! People must be okay that oil companies are literally stealing money from our pockets to line their own and they don't even have to explain their increases! This is outrageous!

1. I don't much care for myself |
|
As far as I'm concerned, it's another way for me to donate to getting Whistle Ass out of office. I do care very much for small business people who are being hit -- cab drivers and the like. As for all the *ssh*les who drive Hummers, they can eat my Subaru's exhaust.

2. Everyone seems to be well conditioned to accept $2/gallon gas |
|
It's amazing that people have forgotten how cheap gas was under Clinton. Most people I talk to think it averaged $1.70 or so.

into taxes for transportation infrastructure rather than oil company profits. Hell, it should have been this much for the past many years; you wouldn't see Excursions and Hummers on the road then.

I didn't get a raise last year but it costs me about two dollars more per day to get to work and back. My health insurance has gone up about 25% in one year. My property taxes have increased (the county re-evaluated my property since they've lost so much federal money).
But at least I have a job. That's more than Bush will have in about 2 weeks.

5. The last time I was in a gas station (last week) |
|
The man at the counter complained to the clerk about the price. The second man said that he didn't know if it would do any good for the gas prices, but he was going to vote anyway. I took that as a vote against Bush. Actually, I was mad too and the price of gas is but one of many reasons why I'll be voting for Kerry and against Bush.
