We are just as bad as the Republicans because we spend just as much time obsessing over the "horse race" as the Republicans, if not more.
The media caters to the lowest common denominator, and during an election cycle, we Democrats prove again and again that we
1) Complain that the media won't cover real issues
2) Obsess over the horse race
They will cover what we are willing to watch and they won't cover what we refuse to watch.
We are as much a part of the problem as anyone, when it comes to chitty election coverage.

They don't care about ratings, that is not their bag.
Think of GE, they make about a billion off of tv but make ten times that making weapons. Where do you think their priorities are?

The media REALLY sucks this election cycle to. That's not a biased viewpoint either, they are totally lazy and just running with the latest "Faux News" type story instead of doing their own journalism - what ever happened to investigative journalism?
