Anyone seen Mary Cheney in an interview?
No?

I wonder why.

Maybe she has a much bigger problem with Bush's plan to amend the Constitution to ban gay marriage than with Kerry mentioning her name in a debate.

3. I haven't seen her speak out on this latest flap
letting Oily Dick and Lynny-poo do the talking for her. You'd think she could get her thoughts into the media - why aren't they?

5. If the repukes
want to make the argument that she is "out of bounds" then they can't put out in front of the campaing. As soon as she becomes someone who "speaks" for the campaing, no one can argue that she can't be discussed. As I've said before, though, I think Kerry could have made his point more effectively by using someone who he knows personally (like Barney Frank) rather than using Mary as the example. This would have been just as effective, avoided all this BS about her being "out of bounds" and he would have been able to say "My gay friend... doesn't think it's a choice" rather than "I would imagine that Mary Cheney would say that it isn't a choice". It shows a greater connection to the issue IMHO.
