I think we should do this to the extent possible. Flood them with our thanks and ask them to keep it up. Obviously, ratings and awards for that show are proving what we already know..that it is one of the jewels of television these days.

here's the submission form for feedback:

here's the email:

Here's what I wrote:
-------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Comedy Central and Daily Show producers:

I wholeheartedly support Jon Stewart's foray into the CNN Crossfire world of pundits. They entertain by blasting one another with the help of their enablers, Carlson, Begala, Novak, etc. They are vacuous blabbermouths who only exist to referee and goad a mindless ping pong match of slogans rather than true and honest debate or substantive look at politics.

I think the Daily Show with Jon Stewart an order of magnitude better than anything else on your network. (And that's even counting South Park, Fri Night Standup, and Reno911.)

2. Mine
I wanted to take a couple minutes to thank Jon for his stellar performance on CNN's Crossfire. The fact that it take a comedian (allbeit a good one) to point out the failures of the American media shows the sad and unfortunate state that this great country finds itself in.

I remain a huge fan and dedicated stoned slacker,

XXXXX

P.S. I love the book, Jon. Keep up the good work.

5. But we're just a bunch of stoned slackers,
as Bill "Buy Vibrators Now" O'Reilly made so clear in his infinite wisdom.

6. yep. another gnat swatted down. First Bill Bennett...now him....
I'm sure most of these uptight conservatives have some sort of fetishes, secrets, dead bodies, etc.

Oh boy. The mutha of all of them was Newt Gingrich and that Louisiana guy that was Speaker for like a day before resigning.

Then there's Trent Lott and RUSH LIMPBALLS!

7. Thanks for the address! Here's mine...
Thank you for speaking out for all of us who feel frustrated with the media's failure to report the real news. We're not interested in the pundits' propaganda: The least we could expect from them is to report the news as it is; a little investigative reporting would be nice, too. The only ones they seem to pick apart are Martha Stewart, Michael Jackson, Scott Peterson, & Kobe Bryant -- all diversionary topics to fill time that could be spent in educating the people about George Bush.

Is it any wonder that we turn to what you call "fake news" to see Bush as he really is? I call the Daily News "tongue-in-cheek real news". You go, Jon! We love you!

10. Done; thanks for the link. My note:
Jon Stewart, what you did on Crossfire took chutzpah! That was outstanding. It's about time someone exposed those "mediots": Not just Carlson & Begala, not just CNN, but the whole mega-corp controlled, airwave-polluting enterprise (Viacom excluded, of course). It is, at the same time, funny, sad and profound that "a program led into by a show about puppets making crank calls" offers keener insight into our current affairs than those entrusted with the task.

Jon, keep doing what you are doing. You are a Tzadek.

13. I did too...here's mine!
Do you have any idea what a gem Jon Stewart is? Well, you probably do, but I'm here to tell you that I think he's great. I was imitating Ali when he was on that crappy crossfired show. Pow - you suck Tucker shmucker. Bam - Don't worry, I wouldn't have dinner with you shmuckity Tuckity. It was great.

It’s too bad he’s married with a kid. Yowser. Never mind, I’m married too!

Have you given him a raise lately? I think he needs a raise. A big raise. Not the crappy 3% I give myself, but you know, like tripple or quadrupple that. Does he have a personal assistant? I could be his assistant, but I would need a raise too.

I expect a follow-up on this e-mail. Get with the program here. You gotta keep Jon happy.

Thanks,

XXXX XXXXXXX
