BTW.. the Senate race in Alaska is getting scary! :(

Republicans have launched a very effective series of ads scaring voters by telling them that if Tony is elected and Democrats control the senate, that Ted Stevens will lose all his important chairmanships, etc..

TED STEVENS IS 81 YEARS OLD NEXT MONTH !!!! :wtf: How long does he plan to stay??

A major problem is.. Despite his age, Stevens is enormously popular here. I mean BIG TIME. Because of the pork he brings home (always a record), he's only known here as "Uncle Ted".

When he comes on the air pleading to residents, even if it's bogus, it's effective. Since the senate adjourned, he's been on the air here non-stop.

Republicans have also launched ads saying that if Democrats take the senate, ANWR will never be open for drilling. (This is a HUGE oil state and that's the #01 issue-- ALWAYS)

The SAD thing is.. even John McCain jumped into the fray and is telling Alaskans that they SHOULD NOT vote for Tony Knowles! (Yet Knowles is a fellow VietNam Vet, and remember.. McCain is against drilling in ANWR!!) :mad:

We'll have two debates between the two next week that will be televised statewide, so Tony needs to make certain Alaskans know that Stevens terms are coming up on those seats anyway.. (They don't mention that in their attack ads)

Anyway.. go vote for Tony! He's been ahead in the polls for the past 11 months straight, but it's so close- the recent ads may push her over the top.. :(
