because they don't want to admit they aren't understanding most of the campaign, and are too lazy to educate themselves. They watch the election like they watch TV; all their info must be served up to them like fast food. No work on their part.

I'm sure if you asked them, these people don't understand the difference between a Democrat and a Republican. Always notice how they say things like "This is not about Republicans and Democrats, it's about issue xyz ?" If they understood the basics - like the differences between the parties -- understanding everything else in the campaign would be very easy, and so would their decision.
