-There is over 1 million dollars in the NJ state Dem. Fund. Any of that can be transferred -without limit- to the Federal NJ Fund for Kerry. -KerryCore raised $1000s of dollars for the NJ Federal account. -Senators Lautenberg and Corzine donated together - $100,000 to that Federal campaign -The state thus far has only released $5000.

What's with McGreevey? I heard he was refusing to release funds required for turn out.
I'm starting to really hate that man.

Damn McGreevey! Why the hell isn't he transferring all the money from all other democratic races in his state to fund a single race? Let NJ turn solid red. The SOB's need to take one for team. After all we've only got ONE race to win this year. Fu** the congress and state governments. All we need is to win one race. Why doesn't McGreevery get it? It's all his fault! <end sarcasm>

3. Who can get action on this? |
|
Corzine? Lautenberg?
Bush is ahead by 8 points in NJ, according to one paper today. And yet all this cash is just sitting around?
Again: :wtf:

4. Bush is NOT ahead by 8 points |
|
that's absolutely ridiculous. Kerry is ahead by 8 points. This is all Rove propaganda to "headfake" Kerry into wasting money there.

5. You're right, but . . . |
|
. . . there are people who could be swayed by seeing the paper say, "Bush is ahead."
Maybe it works in our favor -- bringing more voters out. But I'd hate to take any chances!
Please note: I'm in a HEAVY freeper area, so I could be overly paranoid.

I was mistaken in stating that the poll covered NJ only -- it was indeed nationwide.
Added on edit: Sorry about that. Just color me paranoid in Freeper County.

10. No, NJ is tied. * is ahead 8 pts. in Gallup's NATIONAL poll. |
|
And Gallup is almost always slanted to the right and a bit out of synch with the other polls.
You need to take all the recent polls and average them out to see what the real numbers are.
But as far as NJ, it's tied there, at worst.

Maybe you should realize - yes I know this is hard to believe - but there are actually OTHER RACES to be won. Putting ALL our eggs (money) in one basket - the presidential ticket - isn't such a grand idea. At least for anyone that can see the big picture.
Belieive it or not if Kerry is to do anything we will actually need seats in congress and in the states.
Or, gee, I know. Maybe every state should send ALL the money for state races to fund one single race. Especially blue states. Then when we lose more senate and house seats allowing the repugs to continue to still control the agenda at least we can be happy we blew all the cash on one race.
This is a BIG issue in Texas - and was brought up frequently at the state convention here. In Texas we had been sending all of our money to the national party instead of using it for state races. This election (supposedly) we are supposed to be using some to fund state democratic candidates.
Anyway - it's all about strategy people. We have hundreds of races to win this year - not just one. We have to fund them all. We can't pull the funds from those races just for a single race unless the goal is lose even more offices. Anyone with any common sense could tell you that.
