You'll never guess what I saw at WalMart!!! |
|
In the front of the store by the registers a Book display.
New Best Sellers:
Hillary Clinton's book Bill Clinton's book John Kerry's book John Edwards's book about 3 books by Michael Moore.
No conservative Books at all.
Are Manufacturing and Retail deciding that they're rather have customers with money to spend?
It really made Bush seem like an era that is OVER.

12. that's better than what I saw at my local wally's/ |
|
a 6 year old boy in front of the store spraying his urine like a fire hose right in front of his mother who was eating a hot dog and totally nonplussed by what her "spawn" was doing. And he was doing this in front of everyone else walking in and out of the store . The MacDonald's john was maybe 20 feet from the entrance. And the 3 year old sister was standing right there watching the whole show. Tobacco Road.

22. I used "spawn" because of the way the mother was slowly chewing |
|
on her hotdog and subjecting every one else to this display as they were using the front door. It was so clear she saw nothing at all wrong with it. Can you imagine what it must be like being a neighbor to a parent like this? Can you imagine what the school teacher must be thinking? (glad you got a laugh, something good came of this story)

I buy all my Michael Moore books and DVD's at Wal-Mart. I then laugh at the row of books purporting to disprove the DaVinci Code.

17. Anywhere else would be preferable |
|
K-Mart, Family Dollar, Dollar General, Pic-N-Pay, Big Lots, et al. I shop at all of 'em, and if an item is only available at WalMart I do without. There are always alternatives to supporting the MegaWalMarts of the world, which have made their fortunes via the slave labor of women and girls overseas and by driving locally owned stores out of business. Convenience is not much of an excuse.

I love Martha Stewart products at K-Mart! Her candles and candleholders on sale the other day -- candles are pretty nice, and waaaay cheaper than Yankee Candles.

25. All those stores you mentioned make their money the same way |
|
So your point is well............ pointless.
I hate K-Mart and will not buy Martha "let them eat cake" Stewart products and the Family Dollar in this town smells like ass. We don't have any of those other stores and furthermore on a limited income in this suck ass economy I really don't need any morally superior elitist bullshit about where to buy the same veggies and popcorn I would be buying elsewhere for more money.
Before anyone reacts with additional morally superior elitist bullshit - allow me to tell you to save your time and keystrokes.
I buy local and American whenever possible and reasonable. But I'm NOT going to go buy a pair of socks made in China at the ass smelling Family Dollar store for 2 times as much just to spite WalMart because IT"S STUPID and illogical, OK? Downtown stores will charge me about 5 times as much for a slightly better pair of socks - also made in China. We are a working, not middle class, family with two daughters about to start college so they won't have to slog through the CRAP we've been through so if you think for one minute I'm going to drain their educational fund to satisfy your sense of righteous outrage you're as bad as any fundie and wasting your breath.

21. Saw a similar display |
|
I was in a Wal-Mart a few weeks ago in redneck county, where I work, and I saw the same thing... display of Bill and Hillary books. I was also shocked, trying to figure out what the angle was. Since we've seen it at more than one Wal-Mart, must be something to it...

23. Walmart knows Chimpy's goose is cooked |
|
If you think about it, Chimp economic policy hurts all retailers, and thus manufactureres.
Bush is a reverse Robin Hood, robbin the 'hood to give to just a few rich players in key places.
Walmart is saying "Out with the old, in with the new"!
Bush is already History
