3. he sure did. said it is the reason bush is even with kerry in the polls.

otherwise he would be much lower he said... that is incredibly messed up that a war - and a tragic one like this one is - would actually help bush to get selected

they were talking about possibility of repeat of 200 election, dave asked him if he would oversee our elections this yr. president carter said that both sides would have to agree to that (then a big smile and said he didnt think that would happen in florida)

4. I worked on Carter's campaign for Ga. Gov. as a teenager...
..he was a really good guy back then as he is now.

Every now and then we Georgians come up with somebody really nice, as opposed to Herman? Talmadge and Zell Miller....

7. I marched against Maddox in 66 and cheered for Carter in 76
Jimmy Carter has lived a life worth emulating- he is still living the ideals for which Democrats stand.

6. and did you notice the audience response?
very warm, enthusiastic applause for Carter's comments.
And again when he said the U.S. must extricate itself and make it clear the U.S. has no imperial designs on Iraq.

11. I love Carter, he is one of my favorite Presidents.
I have to say another four years of Carter would have changed this country for the best. I also feel that way about Gore. Another four years of the Big Dog admin and this country would still be on the right path. I highly recommend Carters childhood autobiography called "An Hour Before Daylight". It was a great read.
