1. Plenty of Gore states are still in play
Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Michigan are all considered battleground states. One of the districts in Maine (which apportions its electoral votes) may also be very close.

No Gore states are firmly in Bush's camp, but then again, no Bush 2000 states are firmly in Kerry's camp.

3. Wisconsin and Iowa
are still in play. They are both about a dead heat now. New Mexico is a little close, too. Other than that, Kerry has locked everything up!

In Bush's states, Ohio, Florida, New Hampshire, Arkansas, Colorado, Nevada and Missouri are close. Virginia and North Carolina are a long shot, but still winnable. If we keep Iowa and Wisconsin, we only need one or two of these states at most!

5. You are aware that you're asking 2 completely different questions right?
Being "in play" is a far cry from being "firmly in the bush camp"

Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa are I believe still swing states. Of course none of them are "in the Bush camp".

6. Also Oregon
Replies to this thread and many others seem to take Oregon for granted, a mistake. It should go Kerry but only by 3-4 percent, hardly a lock.
