2. I researched this when it came up a few months ago

I can't locate the thread now, but as I recall, I found that O'Neill was born in California, which made it unlikely that he was related to the Bushes.

Also, Mr. Ellis was the husband of a Bush aunt -- the sister of either George H.W. Bush or his father Prescott. So it isn't an old family name -- and the connection goes back to Connecticut, not to Texas.
