Ugh, my family!
We all had a get together dinner at Red Lobster last night & politics came up.

Me, my cousin and grandmother are for Kerry.

My mother, 2 aunts & 2 uncles are for Bush.

I asked my aunt why and all she could say is that "I like Bush" and my mother says he is "a man of God.."

I nearly lost my garlic biscuits!

I dont even go around them anymore. Maybe after Kerry is elected Ill change my mind but not until .

I got into a huge argument with my sister over this election and thats a first. Weve never really had words like this before

So I feel your pain.

3. There is a scripture where God speaks through a donkey or an "ass". . .
I guess Christians take that stuff literally :toast:

8. It's in the old testament . . . any Christians have a reference?
:toast:

Maybe God meant THIS donkey: :kick:

I did a google search and the Democratic Donkey is based on the Baalim scripture!! Ironic!

The first time the donkey was used in a political cartoon to represent the Democratic party, it was again in conjunction with Jackson. Although in 1837 Jackson was retired, he still thought of himself as the Party's leader and was shown trying to get the donkey to go where he wanted it to go. The cartoon was titled "A Modern Baalim and his Ass."

to the only words I've heard coming from my whoosh-supporter family and friends.
His only reason for tyranny is he's (supposedly) an "x-tian"?
Illogical and totally unconvincing.
