What are we going to do should Bush steal this election.
Recall, some said the Rev.Jesse Jackson was coerced to not protest the 2000 stolen election and conflicts with the Supreme Court Justices. Wall Street found a way to force The Rainbow Coalition to not protest the court decision.
The repugs steal Fla, Ohio, Nevada; will we just sit idly by? I was furious in 2000... Do we just go home and watch tv..I think the powers that be , were scared out out of their wits, that we would NOT remain guiet in 2000...Are we mice or humans..
The Europeans would shut their countries down, if they suspected their elections were rigged.

3. We'll be a lonely nation
Next 9/11 magnitude event, there will be few sympathetic countries to our plight. Because Europeans know about the Chimp and his tricks.

NO STOLEN ELECTIONS!
http://www.Nov3.US

We all remember the votes that were never counted in Florida 2000. While we are all working hard for a positive outcome on November 2nd, we also have to be prepared for a repeat of a 2000 stolen election. Below is a pledge for people to sign, supporting efforts to mobilize and protect the vote on November 2nd and making a commitment to protest starting on November 3rd in the case of a fraudulent vote count. By signing this pledge, you will be joining with thousands of others in the November 3rd Urgent Response Network. Please sign the pledge at http://www.nov3.us/ and pass it around far and wide.

We are setting up a Fair Elections Advisory Council made up of U.S. and international elections experts who will give us their assessment on election day itself. If they find significant fraud, we will activate the Urgent Response Network on or immediately after November 3rd, calling on people everywhere to engage in protest, including non-violent civil disobedience, in front of their local federal buildings and other appropriate places. We will also be asking those who can to converge in the states where the most serious fraud occurred, as well as in Washington DC.

In addition to signing the pledge, please work with other people and groups in your area to protect the vote on November 2nd and to build the Urgent Response Network. Pick a venue for your local protest in the case that the Urgent Response Network is activated, and list the time and place on the website at http://www.nov3.us . We also recommend that you find or organize a place to jointly watch the election results on November 2nd.

Let us commit ourselves to making sure that this time around, the person who occupies the White House is the one who won the election.

NO STOLEN ELECTIONS PLEDGE OF ACTION:

"I remember the stolen presidential election of 2000 and I am willing to take action in 2004 if the election is stolen again. I support efforts to protect the right to vote leading up to and on Election Day, November 2nd. If that right is systematically violated, I pledge to join nationwide protests starting on November 3rd, either in my community, in the states where the fraud occurred, or in Washington DC."

Please sign the pledge now at http://www.Nov3.US

10. That's right
Live free or die!

We riot, as our Founding Fathers would have done and who hoped we would also do.
Protests, at this late stage, are for door-mats. And we've already spent 4 years as a door-mat -- that's long enough.

We have the blood of the almost 3,000 dead in the 9-11 attacks, we have the blood of those lost in the Afghanistan war, we have the blood of over 1,100 American soldiers in the 2nd Iraqi war, we have the blood of every true American citizen who has ever died fighting for a free America crying to us to not let their sacrifice be in vain.

15. Simple? What are you smoking?
How would it be "simple" if Bush steals the election?

THAT was the question to which many replied with answers suggesting organizing riots in the streets.

NO ONE is saying we should riot if we lose, why even suggest such a thing. Read the original post!

But, if Bush STEALS the election again, then it is obvious that the tree of liberty needs to be watered once more.

Search Google to find out what Thomas Jefferson has to say about watering the tree of liberty.

Young people are overwhelmingly against Bush... and the most volatile group with the least to lose, what with the way we have been treated by this administration.

I just hope beyond hope that Bush loses, lest we fall over the precipice into fascism.

18. the reality is that most people will just take it . . .
sure, there will be activists who raise a stink . . . but the great majority of Americans, I'm sorry to say, will just shrug and say "Oh, well" . . .

21. I don't think so - not this time
Edited on Tue Oct-19-04 02:58 AM by secular_warrior
Even regular, non-activist Democrats and Independents are very upset and deeply concerned with what is going on here -- much more than during the 2000 coup, or even during the Iraq War protests. I think the lack of WMD and how the occupation has been handled has woken a lot of regular folks up, who now realize it was the protesters in the street -- both in 2000 coup and before the war -- who were correct.

22. Simple. Half of the country must refuse to play ball.
We who oppose Bush are at least half of the country, if not more. We cannot be expected to play ball with people who don't respect the rules. This country cannot function without us. They must know that we will shut them down. Regardless of the outcome of this election -the party is over for the Bush regime and their enablers.
