The RNC's strategy is to make people "uncomfortable" with Kerry, to make it seem like a risk to change presidents now. After all, if we elect someone without adequate character, common sense, affability, knowledge, and strong leadership, we could end up with some real disasters! So think carefully, America!
- What if Kerry is a big spender? Runaway spending without a plan to increase revenues could lead to deficits and increase the national debt. We already waste billions on its interest alone.
- What if Kerry isn't likeable enough? He might alienate other world leaders, isolate us, and jeopardize our nation's standing in the world.
- What if Kerry has a fundamental misunderstanding about terrorism? We could suffer a severe terrorist attack on American soil!
- What if Kerry goes from being unlikeable to being a joke? He might embarass us in some way, and we'd lose the worldwide love and respect for our leader we had with Clinton.
- What if Kerry lacks sufficient judgment? He might get us involved in wars we don't need to fight.
- What if Kerry's wealth makes him care more about industry than the environment? We might get some setbacks that endanger the earth's ecological balance.
- What if Kerry is so far removed from "regular people" that he doesn't value or understand labor, and allows companies to send jobs overseas? That could increase unemployment.
- What if Kerry's wife convinces him to give tax breaks to wealthy people like her, at the expense of the middle class and the working poor? That could create reduce consumer spending, production, and jobs in a vicious circle.
- What if Kerry is so anti-war that he bungles military strategy as commander in chief, ignoring advisors and uniformed personnel? He could get hundreds, even thousands of troops killed through lack of planning, lack of equipment, or blunders like letting Bin Laden escape.
- What if Kerry's too wishy-washy and flip-flopping? He might send mexed missages to the enemy. Maybe he'd attack Al Sadr, then negotiate with Al Sadr, then attack Al Sadr, then negotiate with Al Sadr, and that could really mess things up in places like Fallujah and Najaf.
- What if Kerry is insufficiently Christian, and not moral enough to lead the country? We could be a nation that doesn't respect commandments like honoring our mothers and fathers, not stealing, and not killing people. That would make us look like hypocrites.
- What if Kerry is a candidate of "big government?" The government could start interfering with our lives and taking away our rights.
- What if Kerry is too much a liberal idealist, and dreams up big expensive plans to reform things? If the cost was a burden, he might push legislation through requiring states to start expensive projects, but not supply financial help to meet those requirements. Unfunded mandates could really burden states. Imagine if that happened to education, for instance.
- What if Kerry fails on healthcare, and we end up paying astronomical insurance premiums, with many people not having health insurance at all? What if people couldn't afford medicine? What if we couldn't get enough flu shots right before flu season, and we ended up at risk for an epidemic?
Deficits, isolation, terrorist attacks, unnecessary war, hatred from the world, environmental damage, loss of jobs, troops killed and injured, moral hypocrisy, loss of rights, unfunded mandates, catastrophes in healthcare... Yes, we'd better be REALLY careful who we vote for!!
