"Flu May Be Mild" headline on USA Todays front page...
translated......its going to be really really bad.

Anyone notice Thompson saying yesterday that there is no shortage of flu vaccine? Get ready folks, they are in over drive spin mode. This flu thing is going to get bad.

1. Fear of flu keeping Seniors & Uninsured away from the polls?
How 'convenient' this year there is a lack of flu vaccine...seniors and others may avoid getting out in public.

16. You are hypersensitive
How is this insulting to anybody?

Don't accuse people of being insulting without explaining why....otherwise, please keep your overly sensitive attitudes to yourself.

18. That is a bit over the top aquart. Twentyfive put a ? at the end of
his/her first statement and used a qualifier "may" in the second.

Besides the fact that both statements seem like a logical conclusion given the situation, they are at least plausible hypotheses.

I see no incidence of trying to pass this off as fact.

They predicted the flu season to be one of the worst. There was a report of a new strain comming from China and all.

9. You know, the body of the article doesn't provide proof
to back that up. What's more, on the inside of that rag is an article claiming seniors do't blame either party and only quotes a couple of seniors. It smells like an effort to blunt Kerry's criticism. I can't see any othe purpose for the biased fluff. I mean, how can they predict that? Especially when the vaccine will be scarce, and health coverage scant?

10. disenfranchisement...
<tinfoil hat time>
Maybe the flu vaccine snafu is a clever way to disenfranchise the voters... think about it... not enough vaccine to cover the populace, two weeks before the election, just as flu season is hitting. People who are sick with the flu may not be well enough to get out and vote; people who aren't yet sick with the flu will be paranoid about commingling with possibly sick folks.

It's a stroke of criminal genious...
</tinfoil hat time>

WHEN will this administration be prosecuted?!

13. You made me think of what Tommy T said yesterday
He said that by no means should seniors stand around waiting in lines (for vaccinations). Prediction: in about 10 days we are going to be informed that standing around in voting lines is going to be considered too dangerous for seniors....

They may not have planned the vaccine shortage, but just like another disaster back in Sept 2001, you can bet that they are rubbing their hands together and thinking of ways to make it work to their advantage.

14. Let's see....
Victory in Iraq, 100% certain.

Democracy in Middle East thanks to America -- 100% certain.

Mild flu season the year they totally fuck up the vaccine supply -- 100% certain.

Medical advances coming out of stem cell research: not likely.

Global warming: hardly.

Military draft despite widening agenda and troop shortages: naaaaah!

Back in the US, back in the US, back in the USSR!
