3/4 of AL QAEDA leadership..........heard it again today. Wake up media!
That Victoria Clarke creature was on CNN telling us how the world is safer today because of George Bush and everything he's done.

Again witht the "3/4 of al Qaueda leadership killed or captured"

A whole panel lets it slip on by....

Remeber the word "leadership" needed to be put in there after the first debate when GW claimed 3/4 of Al Q was killed or captured.

Now they've settled on this new half-truth. call them on it, I just sent the email to CNN.

Two main points:
1) The pentagon believes it's killed or captured 3/4 of Al Q's KNOWN LEADERSHIP IN 2001. There may have been more, so what we're hearign is a guess.

2) It's pretty stupid to believe that since 2001 Al Q hasn't promoted more people to a leadership level. It's not as if they haven't been experiencing a recruitment boom due to actions like Iraq, seen as unjust throughout most of the Middle East.

For all these talking Bush heads know, Al Q might have INCREASED it's leadership since 2001.

The media needs to be held accountable to hold thier feet to the fire...don't let people tell you BS just because they want to get Bush elected.

1. "Leadership" can be replaced. As Bush is about to learn.

3. Condi Rice said that 75 percent equals...
Anywhere from tens to hundreds. So I would figure that would put the rough number of people killed or captured somewhere between 20-999.

Now, if you don't know the exact number to withing a range of 979 people, what makes you so sure its 75 percent?

5. 75% of how many? That is, how many people are part of AlQaeda leadership?
Since we obviously can not know the answer to that question, we can not know whether we have killed 3/4 of them.

captured or killed al-Qaeda leadership = x
al-Qaeda leadership at large = y
total number of al-Qaeda leadership = z

x + y = z

How do you solve this equation if you know (or think you know) the value of x, but not the value of y or z?

Besides the fact that when you kill one leader, a new person takes his place.
