Remember When Liberals Were Blasted For Knowing What Terrorists Think?
Remember back to the post-9/11 days when many liberals suggested that, although not directly responsible for terrorist acts, our foreign policies in the Middle East may have served as misguided rationales for such acts?

At the time, many were publicly excoriated for purporting to know what was in the minds of terrorists.

Yet, throughout the conservative world of spin - which now includes Vladimir Putin - there seems to be nothing wrong with asserting - not even suggesting, but asserting - that the terrorists want desperately to oust George Bush.

How did these conservatives come by this knowledge? Did they travel to the Middle East and sit down with al-Qaeda in order to find out who they supported in the national elections?

If so, they are traitors to this country. If not, they are bald-faced liars and shamelessly lowering the public discourse to levels that haven't been seen since the McCarthy era.

2. the seeds of terrorism are as taboo as discussions
about reality in the israeli/palestine conflict, the 911 conspiracy theories and heroin in afghanistan.
two orphans clutching the humanitarian package of pickled potatoes, sitting shocked and awed on a rock, in the background their village smoldering in ruins. me thinks we create terrorists.they do not hate our freedom, they hate our bombs.

4. God forbid we talk about the effects that Iraqi sanctions had
That is just WAY too much nuance for the American people to handle!
