Is the GOP smoking crack in N.H.?

James Tobin was engineering the Bush campaign in New England till last week, when he abruptly resigned as it was about to be revealed that his ex-colleagues were about to finger him in the phone-jamming 2002 election day scandal. You really gotta wonder why the Bush folks had Tobin w/in 100 feet of their HQ, let alone run the entire operation, especially given N.H.'s role as a swing state.

...

and here's more from Josh Marshall, including scathing commentary from ex-GOP Sen. Bob Smith about his own party's inexcusable behavior.

(Tobin, who helped organize election tampering last cycle) gets appointed by the Bush campaign to run their election operation this cycle. And he only resigns his post after his role becomes public knowledge rather than the inside scoop among Republican operatives and a few DOJ lawyers. That's as big an outrage as the original offense.

1. Only poor liberals smoke crack,
rich, white republicans do cocaine in lines, the way God intended.
