bush signs in some of the Chicago suburbs. setting the signs on fire,spray painting signs with words and the swastikas..this is getting big radio play on the big stations in chicago. goes to show there are problems with both sides......

On the other hand, I've met any number of freepers who would be capable of destroying their own signs, then yelling about it, to show how bad the libruls are.

2. Going on here in NH also. Someone went around and painted LIARS

on the big signs in fluorescent red paint. If I find out who, I will have to sit down and tell them how "naughty" they are, over a beer, my treat. No media attention however.

In my younger skater-punk days, we drove all around on the eve of the Clinton-Dole election and destroyed any Dole signs we saw. We even got in a chase when we grabbed one right in front of the group that was putting them out. I'm not saying that I'm proud of it now, looking back, but young, passionate liberals can be just as destructive as freepers. We just thought it was funny at the time, never really thought about it in terms of suppressing free speech or giving Democrats a bad name. It was just something to do.

I can understand the glee because so many peeps are tired of their signs coming up missing....but I hate to see it happening on either side.

Guess I'm more a fan of wit - absolutely LOVED the tale of the Du-ers brother who is dressing up as the Grim Reaper and hanging with the Reps.

Isn't this crap a staple of Cook County politics? Or at least it was for the many years I lived in the Chicago area. Next comes the old stand-by, fire a shotgun at your own campaign headquarters, then call the TV news crews. This juvenile stuff goes on every election, and sadly it's a bipartisan activity.
