most of y'all prolly know that here in oregon we're fighting against measure 36, which would amend the state constitution to define marriage as being between a man and a woman only - the typical homphobic RW fundy pandering that's going on all over. the difference is that here we stand a fair chance of defeating it, so there's money pouring in from *christians* and the GOPosse from all over the country. you should hear some of the radio ads, it's outrageous. i can only imagine what they must be running on the AM radio talk shows.

anyhow, i just got a phone call, recorded, from an eppy(?) survey firm asking me to take their 30 second survey. being election time i hung on long enough to see what was up and it was about measure 36. it told me that in massachusetts where gay marriage is legal, the public schools start teaching the "gay lifestyle" to kids as early as kindergarten.

if it hadn't been a recording, the person spouting that bullshit woulda been deaf in one ear by time i was done with 'em. and of course the *69 call back feature doesn't work on the number so there's no way to track these vermin down.
