Any Dallas area DUers want to work in New Mexico on election day? |
|
Since Texas isn't going to be close, I've decided to go to a swing state on election day.
A friend is working on the Kerry campaign in Taos and says he could use more volunteers. He is optimistic because their registration efforts went well and Taos significantly undervoted in the last election, so there is a good chance they will go blue this time.
He is pretty sure he can find a place to stay for me and anyone that comes with me.
I'm probably going to fly to Albuquerque and rent a car. If anyone can afford to take a couple days off and buy a plane ticket, or if anyone really wants to take a roadtrip to NM, let me know. The latest polls show Bush with a slight lead in NM, but the Kerry campaign has been working hard and I think their chances are good.

but I'm taking election day off to work right here in getting out the vote for Kerry, Frost and other down-ballot Dems. I imagine there are a lot of others like me too. In spite of * taking the state, I'm taking the long view of rebuilding the party from the ground up.
Good luck, and thanks for your work in making NM blue!
