OK, this story isn't mine, but I did hear this from a fellow "data-entry volunteer" last night at the John Kerry headquarters in MN last night. She was canvassing in Minneapolis last weekend - they were in a heavily Somali neighborhood. She said when they went to people's doors they were literally greeted with cheers! Of course, many aren't eligible to vote - but those that are citizens and registered to vote (a pretty good percentage she thought)were even more enthusiastic and have already lined up vans etc to drive voters to the polls.
Thought you all might appreciate that - it made me very happy.
