ACT needs to lighten up on the phone a little. I respect them, but.... |

I got upset with a caller from there just now. This was our fifth political call today, and I was still very nice.
She started talking about needing poll workers....I said we are already poll workers...took training and everything.
She talked about needing folks for other activities, and I said we already are doing those things. I told her my husband and I were absolute Deaniacs, had been working for candidates, building up the local party, etc. etc....donating to many candidates...
She acted like she had not heard a word I said. She keep reading from her script, saying they needed money today. I said we just donated the other day to ACT....she acted like she did not hear me.
I finally said, lighten up a little, listen to the people you are calling. She kept on, saying she could take my donation right now on the phone....on and on.
I finally got upset, told her I was not going to donate anymore before the election. It kept on.
They need to lighten up. I admire them, but I hung up.
