Unbelievable! Iraq being a mess is now SADDAM'S fault!
The guy has been out of power for a year and a half, in prison for almost a year -- but the mess we are having over there is ALL HIS FAULT! This is (R) Rep Mike Pence on Crossfire today.

Blinky needs to be known as the "Not Me" president!

Harold Ford (D Rep TN) is doing a good job -- "we elected the president, not the commanders."

2. It's usually Clinton's fault.
At least this is a step up from that.

5. I was actually waiting to hear that
I don't watch Crossfire, and I won't watch Crossfire, and now I see why.

6. Heard that too.
And the Iraq war is Kerry's fault cause he saw "the same" intelligence as the president.

And the flu shot shortage is Edwards' fault cause he was a trial lawyer.

And Vietnam veterans getting tortured in Vietnam was Kerry's fault too, not the genocidal policies of our government in those days.

That is, in Bushworld.

7. Iraq was peaceful before we got there. We have ruined the
delicate balance of Iraqi society. They were united and now they are fighting us and each other.

8. Well, yeah, he should have anticipated that we were going to
invade and tear his country up. He should have had all the backup stuff ready to go.

Oh yeah, I forgot: he's been under sanctions since 1991 and couldn't get anything. My bad.

9. Saddam didn't anticipate Bush's fucked-up Iraq campaign.
Edited on Tue Oct-19-04 04:08 PM by Redleg
We all knew Bush was a fuckin' idiot but we couldn't anticipate the extent to which he has demonstrated he is a fuckin' idiot.

I love these Republicans- where is the party of "personal accountability" now?

Everything bad that happened during the Reagan administration was Jimmy Carter's fault.

Garry Trudeau once parodied that habit by having Reagan say, "That was decided during the Carter administration in 1982."

Oh, yes, and when the "shock treatment" to the Russian economy as recommended by Milton Friedman's disciples at the University of Chicago resulted in widespread destitution, no social safety net, and the criminal class taking over all the business interests, not only Republicans but DLC Democrats blamed it on "the legacy of the Soviet period."

11. Nothing is ever Bush's fault, nothing
Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy Thompson was on CNN a few minutes ago, blaming the flu vaccine problem squarely on John Kerry. He said Bush has done everything he could and has been on this problem from day one. But he said Kerry had years to address this vaccine shortage in the Senate and never did anything.

Nothing will ever pop into Bush's head, even if he manages somehow to get himself appointed President for life.
